Interoperability
ezEMRx is an interoperability-based system that integrates healthcare standards and protocols. Integration is made possible using a custom HIE portal designed for clinical data exchanges. This HIE uses healthcare protocols such as Health Level 7 (HL7), Continuity of Care (CCD/CDA)/(C32), and direct messaging. It also performs data translations between dictionary formats such as LOINC, SNOMED-CT, RxNorm, ICD, and CPT using cross-maps.
Performance Measures
ezEMRx can generate a variety of reports based on performance measures identified by the Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement (AMA/Consortium), the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for chronic diseases.
