Ask the CEO: Why is CDP’s focus on public health?

27 Jun

In the early 1980s, our founder, Jack Marston, recognized the lack of computing resources and systems in the public health agencies in Kentucky. He began building systems for these agencies to support their programs, including health inspections, clinic visits and services, and WIC. CDP established a presence in Frankfort, Kentucky by hiring key personnel, some of whom are still with the company. As these systems became recognized by other states for their valuable contribution to providing services, additional states contacted CDP.

As of 2018, CDP supports computer systems for more than 40 states and Indian Tribal Organizations. We are the leading provider of public health systems in the country. We are proud of our focus in this area; providing assistance to help the most vulnerable citizens in our communities.
